Design
Here at RareField we like to be as transparent about our process as possible, so we’ve broken it down:
Contact Us - We’ll gather preliminary info, discuss your wants/ needs, elaborate on our experience and expertise, and hopefully set up an in-person consultation. Seeing the site in person is vital to understanding the space, and we follow all COVID precautions to ensure your safety and well-being.
Consultation - This consists of a preliminary design and rough construction estimate. Both of which are high-level and low on construction details. The consultation is intended to make sure we’re on the same page for the overall layout, materials, and budget. Once we’ve agreed upon the scope and construction budget, we then draw up a design agreement.
Design - After the contract is signed, we dive right into the construction documents. Typically we include: A layout plan with materials and elements (walls, decks, pergolas, bbq’s, spas) specified, a planting plan with images and species based on your microclimate, a lighting plan for an exterior low-voltage system to accent the best parts of your project, and individual construction details for custom elements unique to your project. We’ll send progress updates along the way to get feedback, and make sure you’re happy with the course we’re taking. The design phase is vital to making sure everything is accounted for before we break ground, it allows us to provide an exact construction bid with confidence.
Final Design & Construction Estimate - The design phase is complete with an approved set of construction documents detailing every aspect of your project, as well as a comprehensive bid for the installation of everything as drawn. We'll then draft up the construction agreement and it's on to the build phase!
Interior or Commercial Work - Follows a similar path, and is custom for every situation. We are happy to discuss your vision and goals, and create a plan of action.
