Le Marais Bakery

When we removed the styrofoam drop ceilings of this former jamba juice franchise, we found incredible coved ceilings and a skylight that instantly became features of our new site-specific design for this Organic California-French Bakery and Cafe.  The wallpaper of 1940’s newsprint remains behind the walls for the remodeler of the future to find.  And in its place, local resources and upcycled cookware have been bathed in the natural light of the hidden skylight. 

This business was so successful that it later purchased the space next door and opened a second location elsewhere in the city.  A nice little pat on the back for all involved in this primary venture and ground up design/build project.
